Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Bamboo Island Bar and Grill is an absolute gem, a family-run treasure that blends their rich culinary heritage of Brazil with an eclectic mix of flavors inspired by a lifetime of travel. From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of spectacular. The appetizers alone were worth the visit. The octopus was tender and perfectly seasoned, the buffalo chicken croquets were packed with flavor and just the right amount of kick, and the cheese-filled bread bites paired with a sour cream and cherry chutney, were unlike anything we’ve ever tasted. Even the complimentary fresh bread was delicious, setting the tone for what was to come. Service was truly top-notch. Our server struck the perfect balance of professionalism and personality, providing vivid descriptions of the menu, thoughtful recommendations, and engaging banter throughout the evening. We never once felt rushed or neglected. The setting was equally impressive. We enjoyed our meal outside with a stunning waterfront view, which only added to the charm and warmth of the evening. For our entrées, my Brazilian steak platter was absolutely sublime, tender, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth perfect, complemented by sides that were just as thoughtfully prepared. My wife and daughter both raved about their seafood and pasta dishes, each bite reflecting care, creativity, and incredible taste. The entire evening felt special, one of those rare dining experiences where every detail aligns to create something memorable. It was so good, I gladly doubled the bill as a token of appreciation. We will definitely be back, and I honestly can’t recommend Bamboo Island Bar and Grill highly enough. If you’re anywhere nearby, don’t miss it!

Some of the best food i’ve ever had in my life! I got the appetizer combo on happy hour and the Rio and every bite just kept getting better and better. My mom got the seafood pasta and also cleared her plate. We got happy hour drinks as well and she said it was the best martini she’s ever had! Brady gave us amazing service and made our experience even better! Could not recommend this restaurant more!

Celebrated my birthday at Bamboo Island, and they did not disappoint. The food was amazing, atmosphere was great, me and hubby had a wonderful time. Great staff, Brian was super attentive and very friendly. Will definitely come back every time we’re in town. Definitely recommend

Best restaurant we have been to in a very long time! The appetizers were SUPER and the main courses were even better. The flavors, the presentation, the staff, and the atmosphere… a must-go when in the Anna Maria area. We’ll make sure to visit them every time we go back to Manatee County!

Great place to visit, beautifully and simple decorated. The staff were super friendly and helpful, María and Bryan both speak English and Spanish, so was very easy for us to communicate.The menu is very special, with plenty of options for everyone, don’t forget to ask for the Day’s Special. The food was excellent, with an amazing presentation and delicious flavors. Loved the PIN WHERE YOU ARE FROM idea.

I had the pleasure of dining at Bamboo Island tonight and everything from the food to the atmosphere was absolutely impeccable. Our server, Brady, went above and beyond. His recommendations were spot on, and every entrée we tried was delicious. You can tell this place takes pride in both their menu and their service. I only wish I were a local & I’d come back every day if I could. Brady truly made the entire experience unforgettable. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Let me tell you something….as a foodie from Chicago & a family that knows great food, Bamboo Island is so amazing! Literally, from the energy, atmosphere, playlists, and ambiance…and you didn’t even get to dinner yet. Bamboo Island represents the Brazilian culture & cuisine so well! As our family was one of their original guests, we come back multiple times..every time we are on the island. Tonight, their newest addition to their team, Brady, convinced my husband to try the Sidney & he fell in love w this place all over again. I did the Rio & we shared the charcuterie! We gathered with my mom’s friends for an unforgettable meal, and from the presentation and our very first bite, we knew we had discovered something special. This family-owned restaurant, with roots in Spain, serves up gourmet dishes crafted with love and tradition. The warmth of their hospitality made the evening even more magical—our server was the owners’ son, while his parents worked their culinary magic in the kitchen and personally brought out each beautifully prepared dish. If you ever find yourself near Anna Maria Island or Longboat Key, do yourself a favor and experience Bamboo Island. It’s more than just a meal—it’s a taste of home, family, and passion on a plate!
